Rome – August 2013
He is a Pilot and She is his wife.
He goes away a lot on wonderful trips whilst She stays home to look after their 3 children and work.
He comes home after his trips down route and tells She of all the things he could have been doing, but didn’t because He wants She to join him on all these amazing, wonderful experiences around the world. Aaahhhhh! *cue violins*
But sometimes He does go, and when He goes, He finds out that there is more to life than waiting for one’s wife and has a GREAT time, living it up in great clubs, eating delicious food and exploring exotic cities! *get rid of the violins now* and She LOVES hearing about his escapades and cannot wait to join him on his layovers…the decent ones.
From back street cafes serving steaming bowls of pasta and crispy garlic bread in Rome, a 6 pack of beers on a 4 hour rickety train trip with the locals of Yangon (sheep, chickens and humans), Squid Masala on the beach in Kerala to a speed boat all-inclusive resort trip in the Maldives…we’ve tales to tell and tell them we will, with (hopefully) new crew discounts thrown in along the way! And if we can’t find new crew discounts, well, at least you’ll have had a good read about your up-coming layover destination…
